- For me, the best quality a DM can have is being capable of listening, understanding and caring about the needs and wishes of the players, and Lucas does just that. I play a warlock and the creativity he has with my patron and my relationship with it is very fun. He manages to make the game dynamic and fun if you are the kind of player who likes the mechanics more, and also describe interesting and immersive environments along with cool npc's if what you like more is the roleplaying. I am also a latina and I play from central america, so my english is not the best and although I sometimes have a few issues with understanding or speaking, he always helps me, repeats or writes something if I need it, explains meanings of words I don't get and includes the fact that my character is also a foreigner to the material plane with my accent and struggles with "common" (english). He is kind and understanding. SO, I super mega recommend Lucas as a DM, he is the best!

This is my and my son’s first game with other people. Lucas has been patient and helpful with our many questions and hypotheticals. He is always prompt with his responses. He has a great sense of humor and seems to truly enjoy rolling with whatever his players get into. His rulings seem fair, and he is very willing to explain his reasoning when asked. All our sessions have run smoothly so far and have been the highlight of our weeks since we started.

If you're new to D&D and you're looking for a nice, fun DM who will help you learn the game, while also encouraging you to grow as both a player and a character, you'll enjoy having Lucas as your DM. He makes sure every player/character is heard, and that they have their moments to shine.
If you're a seasoned D&D player and you're looking for a great DM who is all about wanting his players to have a really good experience every session as they advance the story, you'll enjoy having Lucas as your DM. He doesn't railroad his players or their characters, and he doesn't have a "DM vs Players" mentality.

Lucas makes his campaigns fun for all players by ensuring that both combat and roleplay are engaging. Whether that means having combat encounters that are challenging but fair, allowing roleplay elements to take over when possible (when it was just a dire wolf left after we killed its hobgoblin masters, Lucas allowed my druid to convince it to give up the fight and run for freedom), or by allowing players to talk their way out of combat entirely when possible and for those players that would prefer to avoid combat. Lucas really ensures that everyone has a good time at his table. On top of this, he is friendly, patient, knowledgeable, consistently organized and prepared for every session, always has Roll20 ready to go, and even includes background music for the party to listen to that he changes throughout each session based on the situation.

Lucas - he offers a virtual authentic D&D experience catered to beginner & or veteran players. For the RPer’s, your immersion will be maximized. For the gamers, you will be challenged.
Your experience is tailored through game play. When you get started with Lucas, ask him about the Corn Chronicles Saga - an epic journey of dastardly bastards and a drunk monk.
An experience created under his watch and guidance. Highest recommended DM in the league of many.

Being a bit of a pen and paper purist I was initially pretty skeptical about playing D&D online with anybody, even my friends. If you, like I once did, harbor that skepticism of online D&D then allow Lucas to assuage your fears.
Lucas is among one of the best DMs I have had the pleasure of playing with. He is kind, courteous and good humored. He always arrives promptly to the session prepared and eager to get playing. He keeps the game moving smoothly and I always find myself excitedly awaiting the next session.
Lucas is remarkably patient with his players. If I ever had a question about the VTT, my online character sheet or what I could and couldn’t do Lucas would give me an answer in no uncertain terms, promptly and without being condescending in the slightest.
Lucas is quick to encourage role play and nudge players into getting into their characters and the setting. He rewards players and by extension their characters for good role play and taking actions that make sense for the character, even if they aren’t the most optimal in a meta sense.
In brief, Lucas is an excellent DM who rewards and encourages his players while challenging and engaging them with interesting encounters and great narration.

Recently embarking on my first D&D adventure, I was lucky enough to have a talented and experienced DM such as Lucas at the helm. His storytelling prowess immediately drew me into a world of fantasy and wonder.
His ability to create immersive environments and dynamic narratives kept me hooked throughout. Every choice felt meaningful, and his adaptability to our decisions added a genuine touch to the adventure.
As a beginner, I couldn't have asked for a better guide through the Forgotten Realms. Lucas's passion and dedication transformed the game into an unforgettable journey. If you're in search of a DM who turns the ordinary into extraordinary, Lucas is your guy.
I look forward to marching up and down the Sword Coast with him again

TL;DR: Lucas is an excellent DM and you should totally take the opportunity to join one of his games if you can. (^^)
Long version: For a little background on myself, I've had a passionate interest in tabletop gaming since I was a teenager, having tried a variety of systems, attending gaming conventions, and both playing with and watching games with DMs with a lot of different styles. I even ran games myself in multiple editions of Call of Cthulhu for a number of years, and I have a good idea of what I like and don't like at a table.
However, I had avoided playing D&D for years because for some reason I had an idea that it would be a bunch of boring combat mechanics and fighting with goblins all day, and very little of the roleplaying and exploring stuff that I really love. However, having watched a 5e live play and deciding that maybe it wasn't as combat heavy as I thought, I went to roll20 and looked for a game that I could join and try out.
That's how I ended up joining Lucas's (virtual) table with a newly formed group playing the Lost Mines of Phandelver campaign. It's been sooooooo fun! Lucas always comes to the table prepared, but what I really love about him is how committed he is to building a story *with* his players, no matter how ridiculous we are. I've seen DMs who try to railroad their players into following the exact story had prepared ahead of time, but Lucas is good at rolling with the punches, giving his players room to really lean into their characters, and giving them opportunities for them to do things which he probably didn't quite expect walking into the session--or sometimes working with them to play out scenes that let them flesh out their backstories. For example, in our last session, one of our players essentially re-spec'ed their character in a fun and rather dramatic scene where said character's mom came and dragged them home by the ear, scolding them for missing school, while their brother stayed behind to help the party in their place. It was super entertaining and exactly the kind of thing I enjoy about playing with Lucas and this group.
I'd say Lucas is also a great DM for working with beginners. He has a good knowledge of the system, did a good session zero with all of us to establish shared boundaries, and is very patient, even now when I have to look exactly what my spells do for the gajillionth time in a row. #^^# He's great with providing resources for players (e.g. recommending Chrome integrations, token creators, wildshape table, sharing sourcebooks on Dndbeyond). He's also good at tracking his players and making sure everyone gets an opportunity to roleplay at the table. I like the way he roleplays NPCs, and I feel like he is good at having them react appropriately to situations and playing a variety of characters. He actively seeks feedback, tries out new tools, has a drive to consistently improve his games and his DM'ing skills. And last but not least, he's just a fun person to interact with. I appreciate his flexibility, sense of humor, and ability to handle a group gracefully, helping everyone to have fun while still providing enough challenge and consequences to keep the game engaging. Highly recommend!
